Confirmation is the completion of baptismal grace.  Baptism by itself, without Confirmation, brings a person into profound grace, yet it is like one bookend without the other.  Eventually the other is needed (Acts 8:14-17).  Confirmation connects the person more closely to Christ, to the Church, and its mission.  Confirmation enriches the person with a special strength of the Holy Spirit, and it increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in those who receive it.  It makes us become more like the Lord Jesus Christ.

High school students in our religious education program are Confirmed in 11th grade.  Adults who are baptized and would like to be Confirmed as Catholics are invited to participate in the RCIA program, which starts in January and concludes at the Easter Vigil.  See the “RCIA” tab.
